• Boman Irani was not the first choice for the role of the fake psychic in Bluffmaster (2005). Riteish Deshmukh personally recommended him to director Rohan Sippy after they worked together in a play. Sippy was hesitant because Boman was mostly known for serious roles at the time. Riteish insisted, saying, 'Trust me, he'll kill it.' That film became their first collaboration.
• In Housefull (2010), Riteish Deshmukh played the hyper-anxious sidekick while Boman Irani played the deadpan, exasperated father. Their comic rhythm worked because Riteish would push the energy to 11, and Boman would pull it back to zero with a single look. Director Sajid Khan said they 'didn't need to rehearse — they just locked eyes and the scene wrote itself.'
• The Housefull franchise — which Boman and Riteish anchored together across four films — directly launched the trend of multi-starrer comedy franchises in Bollywood. Before Housefull (2010), no Hindi comedy had successfully used a rotating ensemble cast across sequels. After its success, every studio tried to copy the formula (see: Golmaal series, Dhamaal series).
• On the sets of Heyy Babyy (2007), Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh started a ritual: before every comedy scene, they would make each other laugh with a random joke — not to break character, but to loosen up. They called it 'the warm-up.' They kept doing this through all eight films, even on Housefull 4 (2019), 12 years later.
• Riteish Deshmukh once said about Boman Irani: 'He is the only actor who can make me forget my lines — because I'm laughing so hard at what he's doing. And then he'll just stare at me, waiting for me to recover. That stare is the funniest thing in the world.' He said this during a promotional interview for Housefull 3 (2016).
