• Nithya Menen personally requested Kota Srinivasa Rao for the role of her father in 'Okkadine' (2013). She had never worked with him before but insisted he was the only one who could play that part.
• In 'Malini 22 Vijayawada' (2013), Kota Srinivasa Rao improvised a whole monologue about his character's past as a cop. Nithya Menen, playing his daughter, stayed in character and reacted live — that unscripted scene became the emotional core of the film.
