• Zeenat Aman was the one who pushed for Pran to be cast as her father in 'Dostana' (1980). The director originally wanted a younger actor for the role, but Zeenat insisted that only Pran had the gravitas to play her on-screen father. She later said she learned more about screen presence from him in that one film than from any co-star before.
• In 'Krodhi' (1981), Pran deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Zeenat's natural rhythm. He told the director that if he spoke at his usual pace, the scene would feel rushed.
