• In Ram Lakhan (1989), Subhash Ghai cast Satish Kaushik and Dalip Tahil as the two corrupt brothers. Kaushik later said Ghai deliberately paired them because both had theatre backgrounds and could match each other's intensity without overacting.
• On the sets of Prem (1995), Kaushik and Tahil would rehearse their scenes in Haryanvi dialect between takes. That inside joke made their on-screen bickering feel more natural — they were literally cracking each other up before the camera rolled.
• During the shoot of Chhota Chetan (1998), Kaushik and Tahil shared a vanity van because the budget was tight. They ended up writing alternate dialogues for each other's characters on napkins — none of which made the final cut, but they still laugh about it.
