• Alok Nath was the one who suggested Sanjay Dutt for the role of the angry young man in 'Dushman' (1990). The director was initially hesitant, but Nath insisted that Dutt's real-life intensity would sell the part.
• In 'Zamane Se Kya Darna' (1994), Nath played Dutt's father. On set, Nath would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery to force Dutt to match his rhythm — Dutt later said it helped him stop rushing his lines and actually listen in a scene.
