• Senthil was already a popular comedian when he was paired with newcomer Pallavi in 'Thaye Neeye Thunai' (1987). The director chose her specifically because he wanted a fresh face to balance Senthil's established comic energy — and it worked so well they made four more films together.
• In 'Oorai Terunjukittaen' (1988), Senthil deliberately slowed down his usual rapid-fire delivery to match Pallavi's more measured style. Pallavi later said that Senthil would pause mid-scene to let her reactions land — something he rarely did with other co-stars.
• During the shoot of 'Anbu Kattalai' (1989), Senthil and Pallavi developed a ritual: before every comedy scene, they'd run through the lines once in reverse order to find the funniest delivery. They kept this up through all five films.
• The success of 'Natpukkaga' (1998) — their last film together — directly led to director K. S. Ravikumar casting Senthil in a more serious role in 'Padayappa' (1999). Pallavi's grounded performance in that film convinced Ravikumar that Senthil could handle emotional weight.
