• Raj Babbar and Jagdeep first shared screen space in 'Bheegi Palkein' (1982) because the director, Bhappi Sonie, needed a strong comic foil for Babbar's intense romantic lead. Jagdeep was brought in specifically to lighten the mood, and their contrasting styles clicked so well that Sonie cast them together again immediately.
• In 'Jeene Nahi Doonga' (1984), Jagdeep's rapid-fire comic timing forced Raj Babbar to slow down his dialogue delivery. Babbar later admitted in an interview that he learned to pause for laughs by watching Jagdeep work — a skill he carried into his later villain roles.
