En Purushanthaan Enakku Mattumthaan is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Manobala and written by P. Kalaimani. The film stars Vijayakanth, Suhasini, and Rekha in lead roles. The story follows Vatsala, a wealthy and jealous wife who falsely accuses her neighbor Sharadha of having an affair with her husband Marudhu. Her rumors destroy Sharadha's reputation and career. Sharadha retaliates by moving into Vatsala's home and pretending to be Marudhu's mistress. The film explores themes of trust, jealousy, and revenge. It was praised for its performances and Ilaiyaraaja's music. The film was remade in Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. It was released on 3 February 1989.

Storyline
