Marudhavelu is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by R. K. R. Aathimoolam. The film stars Kailash in the title role, alongside Akanksha and Nakshatra. Storyline

Marudhavelu is a lazy village boy who loves his cousin Manju. After a priest lies about him, Manju accuses him of attempted rape. He is banished from his village for one year. In Chennai, he witnesses a gangster murder a young woman and decides to fight back. He must clear his name and defeat the don who killed his father.
