Marudhavelu is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by R. K. R. Aathimoolam. The film stars Kailash in the title role, alongside Akanksha and Nakshatra. It follows a village wastrel who is falsely accused of crimes and exiled from his home. He travels to Chennai where he confronts a powerful gangster and fights for justice. The film features a notable voice performance by Vijay Sethupathi dubbing for Kailash. Music was composed by James Vasanthan. The movie was released on 18 November 2011 alongside Vithagan.

Storyline
Marudhavelu is a lazy village boy who loves his cousin Manju. After a priest lies about him, Manju accuses him of attempted rape. He is banished from his village for one year. In Chennai, he witnesses a gangster murder a young woman and decides to fight back. He must clear his name and defeat the don who killed his father.
