• In Arya (2007), Thalaivasal Vijay played the calm, weary father while Crane Manohar played the loud, comic sidekick. Manohar would deliberately over-deliver his lines in rehearsal so Vijay could underplay his reactions — that contrast became the scene’s comedy engine.
