Idhaya Veenai is a 1972 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by the duo Krishnan–Panju. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran, Lakshmi, and Manjula in lead roles, with Sivakumar, M. N. Nambiar, and M. G. Chakrapani in supporting parts. The story follows Sundaram, a man who was driven away from home by his father as a child, and his return to Madras to protect his sister Nalini. He becomes entangled with Annamalai, a man with a double life who falsely accuses him of crimes. The film is notable for its use of 30 veenas in the climax fight scene and the popular song 'Kashmir Beautiful'. It was released on 20 October 1972.

Storyline
Sundaram was thrown out of his home by his father years ago. Now living in Kashmir, he spots his sister Nalini in a student group and returns to Madras. But a treacherous man named Annamalai falsely accuses him of crimes. Sundaram must clear his name and reunite his family.
