En Annan (1970) is a Tamil-language crime thriller film directed by P. Neelakantan. The film stars M.G. Ramachandran as Ranga and Jayalalithaa as Valliammal, with supporting performances by R. Muthuraman, M.N. Nambiar, and S.A. Ashokan. The story follows Ranga, a young man whose father Velappan is falsely imprisoned for murder. Ranga dedicates his life to proving his father's innocence while protecting his sister Thangam from societal shame. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Poola Rangadu (1967), which was loosely adapted from A.J. Cronin's novel Beyond This Place. En Annan was praised for its emotional narrative and strong performances. It was released on 21 May 1970 and completed a 100-day theatrical run.

Storyline
