Thaamirabharani is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Hari. The film stars Vishal as Bharani Puthiran, with Muktha George (credited as Bhanu) in her debut role. Prabhu, Nadhiya, Nassar, and Vijayakumar play supporting roles. The story follows Bharani, a hot-headed young man who lives with his uncle Saravana Perumal. He falls in love with Bhanu, but their families are bitter business rivals. The film is set in Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli, named after the Thamirabarani River. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music, with lyrics by Na. Muthukumar. The film received positive reviews for its blend of action, humour, and sentiment. It was released on 14 January 2007 during the Pongal festival.

Storyline
Bharani is a carefree college graduate who lives with his wealthy uncle. He falls in love with Bhanu, but her family is his uncle's sworn enemy. A misunderstanding leads to a violent feud. Bharani must choose between his love and his family's honour.
