Thambi is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action drama film written and directed by Seeman. The film stars Madhavan as Thambi Velu Thondaiman and Pooja Umashankar as Archana, with Vadivelu, Manivannan, and Biju Menon in supporting roles. The story follows a young man who fights against violence and injustice in his city after his family is murdered by a local goon. The film explores themes of kindness, forgiveness, and transformation through tragedy. Music was composed by Vidyasagar with cinematography by Balasubramaniem. Thambi was released on 22 February 2006 and became a box office success. Seeman won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Dialogue Writer for the film.

Storyline
Thambi Velu Thondaiman is a young man who cannot tolerate violence or injustice. He targets Sankara Pandian, a rich local goon who controls the city through fear. After Sankara Pandian murders his family, Thambi becomes a fearless vigilante. He wants to make the city free from violence and even hopes his enemy will change.
