Uzhavan(1993)
Uzhavan is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Kathir. The film stars Prabhu as Sundaram, a kind-hearted farmer, alongside Bhanupriya and Rambha in a cameo role. The story follows Sundaram, who is mocked by his village for his weight, as he struggles to fulfill his dying mother's wish to see him married. After a failed marriage arrangement and his mother's death, he finds solace in a school teacher's wisdom. The film is noted for its emotional depth and A. R. Rahman's soundtrack. Storyline
Sundaram is a young farmer who is overweight and constantly mocked by his village. His dying mother's only wish is to see him married. When a girl agrees to marry him, he is overjoyed, but she later confesses she loves another man. Heartbroken, Sundaram lets her go. After his mother dies, the villagers blame him. A kind teacher helps him see his own worth.
