Trivia

  • The film's plot was inspired by the Hollywood movie 'The Bourne Identity', adapting its amnesia-driven spy thriller concept into a Telugu military action drama.
  • This was one of the few films where actor Bala Krishna played a character with no name for a significant portion of the runtime, emphasizing his mysterious past.
  • Director Swarna Subba Rao was primarily known for directing family dramas, making this intense action thriller a notable departure from his usual genre.
  • The movie's climax, involving the hero thwarting Pakistani militants, was filmed at a time when India-Pakistan tensions were a frequent backdrop in early 2000s cinema.
  • Actress Laya, who played the wife, was reportedly chosen for her ability to portray a character balancing warmth and a hidden, heavy secret.
  • The film's soundtrack, composed by Koti, included a patriotic song that gained some popularity independently of the movie's overall box office performance.
  • Despite its high-concept plot, the film had a relatively modest release and is often cited by fans as an underrated Bala Krishna action film from that era.
