Trivia

  • The film is a remake of the 1989 Malayalam movie 'Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal', also directed by Prathap Pothan.
  • This was the only Telugu film directed by noted Malayalam filmmaker Prathap Pothan.
  • The movie's plot is a rare example of a legal thriller in early 1990s Telugu cinema, which was dominated by family dramas and action films.
  • Actor Rajendra Prasad, known for comedy roles, played the serious lead character of Chaitanya.
  • The film's music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, but it was not a major commercial success like his other Telugu works.
  • It features actress Raadhika in a key role, who was a prominent star in South Indian cinema across multiple languages at the time.
  • The story's central premise of a wrongfully accused man was considered unusually grim for a mainstream Telugu hero of that era.
