• Raghuvaran was a last-minute replacement in 'Silk Silk Silk' (1983). The original hero backed out, and Silk Smitha personally recommended Raghuvaran to the director after working with him in a stage play.
• In 'Chaitanya' (1990), Raghuvaran deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Silk Smitha's rhythm. He told the director that her pauses were her strength — and that he'd follow her beat, not the other way around.
• During the shoot of 'Thozhar Pandian' (1994), Raghuvaran would bring Silk Smitha homemade biryani from his wife's kitchen. She later said it was the only time she felt comfortable eating on set without worrying about her diet.
