• Sunil and Venu Madhav were both established comedy actors by 2003, but 'Naaga' was the first time they shared screen space as a full-fledged comic duo. The director, K. S. Ravi Kumar, deliberately paired them after seeing their individual timing in separate films — he wanted two distinct styles of humor clashing in the same frame.
• In 'Hungama' (2005), Sunil played the straight man to Venu Madhav's hyperactive chaos. Sunil later admitted in an interview that Venu's unpredictable improvisations forced him to stay on his toes — he couldn't rely on rehearsed lines because Venu would change the rhythm mid-scene.
• Their comedy in 'Mr. Errababu' (2005) relied on a 'push-pull' dynamic: Venu Madhav would escalate a situation with loud, physical comedy, and Sunil would undercut it with deadpan one-liners. The scene where they argue over a stolen chicken is still a fan favorite for that exact rhythm.
