• Vivek and Meena first worked together in Idhaya Vaasal (1991) because director Mani Ratnam personally recommended Vivek to the film's team after seeing his stage work — Meena was already cast, and Vivek was brought in specifically to match her energy.
• In Shahjahan (2001), Vivek deliberately slowed down his comic timing to match Meena's natural rhythm — he later said in an interview that she made him 'earn every laugh' because she never overacted, forcing him to be sharper.
