• Anandaraj was already a known villain when Srividya agreed to play his love interest in Ulagam Piranthathu Enakkaga (1990). She was the bigger star at that point — she had decades of experience. He was still proving himself. She took the role anyway.
• In Bharathan (1992), Srividya played a mother figure to Anandaraj's character. That shift — from romantic pair to mother-son dynamic in just two years — is almost unheard of in Tamil cinema. They pulled it off because she had the gravitas and he had the vulnerability.
• On the sets of Thondan (1995), Anandaraj reportedly used to call Srividya 'Akka' (elder sister) off-camera, even though they had played lovers just five years earlier. She apparently scolded him once for being too loud on set — and he listened.
