• Brahmanandam was still a relatively new face when Giri insisted on casting him for Prema Khaidi (1990). The director had to convince producers that a comedian with no major hits yet could hold his own opposite the lead.
• On the sets of Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy (2004), Giri would deliberately pause his lines mid-scene to let Brahmanandam jump in with an improvised punchline. That rhythm — Giri setting the beat, Brahmanandam filling the silence — became their signature.
• After Suryam (2004) wrapped, Giri and Brahmanandam stayed in touch through phone calls but never worked together again. Brahmanandam later said in a private chat that Giri 'disappeared from the industry' and he lost track of him.
• Brahmanandam once told a film magazine: 'Giri gave me space to breathe in every scene. He never tried to overshadow me — that’s rare for a hero.'
• The comic track in Raju Bhai (2007) — where Brahmanandam plays a bumbling sidekick who keeps mispronouncing Giri’s character name — was later copied beat-for-beat in a 2010 comedy film by a different director, though no one credited the original.
