Partnership facts

• Brahmanandam and Sangeetha first shared screen space in 'Pellam Oorelithe' (2003) because the director wanted a fresh comic pair to play a bickering husband-wife. Brahmanandam, usually the solo comedian, agreed only if Sangeetha got equal screen time to bounce off his timing.
• In 'Ori Nee Prema Bangaram Kaanu' (2003), Brahmanandam deliberately slowed his delivery so Sangeetha could land her punchlines first. He told the set that her deadpan reactions made his over-the-top style work — he fed her straight lines, she fed him silence.
• Their back-and-forth in 'Mee Intikoste Yemistaru Ma Intikoste Yem Testaru' (2004) became a template for Telugu comedy duos where the wife outsmarts the husband. Directly inspired the later 'Jai Bolo Telangana' comic track between Brahmanandam and a younger actress.
• During the shoot of 'Vijayendra Varma' (2004), Sangeetha would bring homemade pickles for Brahmanandam because he complained about catered food. He in turn taught her how to time a comic pause — a skill she later used in her Tamil films.
