• Brahmanandam was a theater actor with zero film experience when Kodi Ramakrishna cast him in Shatruvu (1990). The director saw him in a stage play and offered the role on the spot — no audition, no screen test.
• On the sets of Rikshavodu (1995), Kodi Ramakrishna would give Brahmanandam only a one-line situation — no written dialogue. Brahmanandam would then improvise the entire scene in one take. The director never asked for a retake.
• After Maa Balaji (1999) bombed hard, Kodi Ramakrishna called Brahmanandam and said, 'Nuvvu lekapothe, ee cinema inka pedda debba kotteedi' (If you weren't in it, this film would have been an even bigger disaster). They never discussed the film's failure again.
• The comedy track in Keelugurram (2005) — where Brahmanandam plays a bumbling thief — directly inspired a similar character in the 2008 Tamil film 'Saroja'. The Tamil writer later admitted he lifted the template.
• Brahmanandam once said in a 2012 interview: 'Kodi Ramakrishna garu naaku first break ichcharu. Aayana kosam nenu em chesina takkuve.' (Kodi Ramakrishna gave me my first break. Whatever I do for him is not enough.)
• In Parama Veera Chakra (2011), Kodi Ramakrishna deliberately shot Brahmanandam's scenes without close-ups — because he wanted the actor's physical comedy to play out in wide frames. Brahmanandam later said that choice made his timing sharper.
