• Suman and Sayaji Shinde first shared screen space in Dookudu (2011), but their pairing almost didn't happen. Director Srinu Vaitla originally wanted a different actor for the role of Shinde's sidekick; Suman was a last-minute replacement after the first choice backed out.
• In Shadow (2013), Suman and Sayaji Shinde played off each other's comic timing like a seasoned double act. Suman would set up the punchline with deadpan delivery, and Shinde would explode into over-the-top reactions — a rhythm they perfected over five earlier films together.
