• They first shared screen space in 'Sambaram' (2003) because director S. V. Krishna Reddy deliberately paired them as comic foils — Narayana's stammering buffoonery against Giri Babu's deadpan authority. Reddy later said he cast them specifically to see who would break first on set.
• In 'Aadanthe Ado Type' (2003), Narayana would deliberately flub his lines during rehearsals to make Giri Babu laugh, forcing him to stay loose. Giri Babu then started feeding Narayana wrong cues on camera to return the favor — the director kept the best takes of both pranks.
• During the shoot of 'Chandee' (2013), Giri Babu personally drove Narayana to the hospital after he fell ill on set. Narayana later joked that Giri Babu drove so slowly that he recovered before they reached the hospital.
• Their double-act in 'Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini' (2015) was so well-received that the director, R. P. Patnaik, wrote a spin-off scene specifically for them — a 12-minute stretch where they play two old friends arguing over a missing goat. That scene became the most shared clip from the film on YouTube.
• Giri Babu once said in an interview: 'Narayana and I never rehearsed. We just looked at each other and knew what the other would do. That's why our scenes together feel like a real conversation — because half of it was us genuinely reacting to each other's surprises.'
