• Vidhya and M. S. Bhaskar first met on the set of Naalai Namadhe (2009). Bhaskar was already a seasoned character actor, but Vidhya was a newcomer. He later said she was so nervous on day one that he deliberately flubbed a line to make her laugh and break the ice.
• In Thiruthani (2012), Bhaskar played a comedic sidekick to Vidhya's lead. He improvised a running gag where he'd mimic her hand gestures mid-dialogue. Vidhya matched his timing so perfectly that the director kept the takes where they both cracked up on camera.
