• Chandramohan and Ranganath first shared screen space in 'Premante Idera' (1998) because the director needed a reliable villain to counter the hero's charm — Ranganath was already a known face in negative roles, and Chandramohan was fresh off a hit. The pairing was purely a casting convenience, not a planned collaboration.
• In 'Eduruleni Manishi' (2001), Ranganath played the antagonist while Chandramohan was the hero. Their scenes worked because Ranganath deliberately slowed his dialogue delivery to match Chandramohan's more measured style — making the confrontations feel tense rather than rushed.
• Their third and final film together, 'Mitrudu' (2009), was the only one where they played allies — and it's also the only one that earned a decent rating (6.8/10). The film's moderate success convinced the producer to back a similar buddy-action film the next year, though with a different pair.
