• Tinnu Anand was an assistant director on Amitabh Bachchan's 1978 hit 'Don'. He later wrote a role specifically for Bachchan in 'Kaalia' (1981) — but the superstar was hesitant. Tinnu convinced him by narrating the entire script in one sitting at Bachchan's bungalow, Jalsa.
• On the sets of 'Shahenshah' (1988), Amitabh Bachchan would often improvise his dialogue delivery mid-scene. Tinnu Anand, directing, would then rewrite the next shot's blocking to match Bachchan's new rhythm — a back-and-forth that gave the film its signature over-the-top energy.
