• Mahesh Manjrekar was the one who actually directed Sonakshi Sinha's first-ever screen test for 'Dabangg' — he shot her audition on a camcorder in a hotel room, and that tape convinced Arbaaz Khan to cast her as Rajjo.
• On the set of 'Dabangg 3', Manjrekar (playing the villain) would deliberately break into Marathi mid-dialogue to throw Sonakshi off — she'd then have to react in real confusion, which he kept in the final cut because it made her fear look genuine.
