• During the shoot of Insaaf Main Karoonga (1985), Om Shivpuri would bring homemade snacks for the entire crew every Friday. Aruna Irani once joked that she only agreed to the film because she knew she’d get his wife’s famous kachoris.
• They first shared screen space in Phir Wohi Raat (1980), a horror thriller where Om Shivpuri played a doctor and Aruna Irani played a mysterious woman. The director, Lekh Tandon, paired them specifically because he wanted actors who could switch between eerie and emotional without overacting.
• In Kudrat (1981), Om Shivpuri’s calm, measured delivery as the father figure gave Aruna Irani space to go big with her dramatic outbursts. She later said in an interview that he would deliberately pause mid-dialogue to let her reaction land first.
• Aruna Irani told a film magazine in 1982: 'Om ji never raised his voice on set. Even when we were arguing on screen, he’d whisper the lines to me between takes and say, 'Beta, anger is louder when it’s quiet.'
• Their pairing in Kudrat (1981) was so well-received that the producer, Pramod Chakravorty, immediately signed them for a second film together — Insaaf Main Karoonga (1985). That film later became a minor cult hit in Bihar and UP for its courtroom scenes.
