• Satish Shah was the one who convinced Shah Rukh to sign 'Main Hoon Na'. SRK was unsure about playing a college student at 38, but Satish — who played his father in the film — told him, 'You'll pull it off, just trust Farah.'
• In 'Om Shanti Om', Satish Shah played the frustrated director who keeps yelling 'Action!' at SRK's junior artist character. The comedy came from Satish deliberately flubbing his lines to make SRK break character — and SRK, in turn, would overact on purpose to make Satish corpse. The outtakes are legendary on set.
