Trivia

  • The film was originally titled 'Aatish: Feel the Fire' and was heavily inspired by the Hollywood movie 'Scarface' (1983).
  • Sanjay Dutt's character Baba was initially offered to actor Nana Patekar, who reportedly declined the role.
  • The song 'Tumse Milne Ko Dil Karta Hai' was shot in Mauritius, marking one of the earliest Bollywood songs filmed there.
  • This was one of the first major films for director Sanjay Gupta, who later became known for his slick, stylized action thrillers.
  • Actor Paresh Rawal, who plays the villain, also played a comic role in the hit film 'Andaz Apna Apna' released the same year.
  • The film's climax was shot in a specially constructed set designed to resemble a sprawling, abandoned factory.
  • Despite mixed reviews, the film performed moderately well at the box office, especially in single-screen theaters.
