• Shakti Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor first shared screen space in 'Andaz Apna Apna' (1994), but their pairing almost didn't happen — Shakti was initially hesitant to play the villainous 'Crime Master Gogo' opposite a young heroine, but director Rajkumar Santoshi convinced him by saying the role would be a cult classic.
• In 'Raja Babu' (1994), Shakti's over-the-top comic villainy as 'Nishchal' gave Karisma the perfect straight-woman to bounce off — she played the dignified love interest, and her deadpan reactions to his chaos made the comedy land harder.
