• Shakti Kapoor and Aditya Pancholi first faced off in 'Qatil' (1988) because the director needed a villain who could match Pancholi's raw energy. Kapoor was initially hesitant to play second fiddle to a younger hero, but Pancholi personally convinced him by saying the script needed a 'real monster' — not just a character.
• In 'Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri' (1990), Pancholi deliberately slowed down his comic timing to let Kapoor's physical comedy breathe. Kapoor later said Pancholi would whisper 'take your time' between takes — a rare move from a lead actor who usually dominated scenes.
