Paarthaal Pasi Theerum is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by A. Bhimsingh. It stars Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, B. Saroja Devi, and Sowcar Janaki, with Kamal Haasan in a child role. The story follows two friends in the British Indian Air Force during World War II. One friend sacrifices his freedom to save the other, leading to years of separation and hidden truths. The film explores themes of friendship, sacrifice, and the consequences of keeping secrets. It was a major box office success, running for over 100 days in theatres. The film was released on 14 January 1962, the occasion of Pongal.

Storyline
