Madhurey is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed and co-written by Ramana Madhesh. The film stars Vijay as Madhuravel, an IAS officer who goes undercover as a vegetable vendor. Sonia Agarwal plays Susheela, his love interest, while Rakshita and Tejashree appear in supporting roles. The plot follows Madhuravel's quest to dismantle a don's parallel justice system after his lover is killed. The film features a large set built in Saligramam, Chennai, costing ₹16 crore. Vidyasagar composed the soundtrack, with songs shot in France and Italy. Madhurey was released on 29 August 2004 and ran for 150 days at the box office.

Storyline
