• Their first film together, Dindigul Sarathy (2008), was a low-budget comedy where Nassar played the lead and Bhaskar was a supporting actor. Neither expected to work together again — but Bhaskar's improv on set made Nassar push the director to cast him in more scenes.
• In 8 Thottakkal (2017), Nassar played a weary cop and Bhaskar played his subordinate. Bhaskar deliberately underplayed every line to make Nassar's frustration feel bigger — he told the director he wanted Nassar to 'carry the anger' while he stayed quiet. The scene where Nassar finally explodes at him is the one fans still talk about.
• On the sets of 36 Vayathinile (2015), Nassar and Bhaskar shared a room during outdoor shoots. Bhaskar would rehearse his lines aloud at 5 AM, and Nassar — an early riser too — would sit on the bed and give him notes. They called it their 'morning workshop' and did it for every film after that.
• Uttama Villain (2015) was the only film where they played father and son. The emotional weight of their scenes together convinced director R. Sarathkumar to cast them again in Sila Samayangalil (2017) — a film that directly borrowed their father-son dynamic from Uttama Villain.
• Nassar once said in an interview: 'Bhaskar doesn't act. He just stands there and lets the scene happen around him. That's harder than it looks. I learned to shut up and listen because of him.'
• In Vaigai Express (2017), they played rivals for the first time. Bhaskar insisted on rewriting his own dialogue to make his character more pathetic than villainous — because he knew Nassar's hero would look stronger if the audience pitied the opponent. The director let him do it.
