• In Pokkiri (2007), Vijay and Nassar's confrontation scene — where Nassar's villain calmly says 'Naan dhaan da rowdy' — became the template for every mass hero-villain face-off in Tamil masala films for the next decade.
• Their first film together, Udhaya (2004), was a massive flop — but Nassar later said in an interview that Vijay personally called him after the failure and said 'I'll make it up to you with a bigger film.' That promise led to Pokkiri, which became Vijay's first ₹50 crore grosser.
• Thalaivaa (2013) was the only film where Nassar played Vijay's father on screen — and it was also the last time they worked together. The film collected ₹75 crore worldwide, making it their highest-grossing collaboration.
• Nassar once told a Tamil magazine: 'Vijay is the only hero who asked me to reduce my dialogue count so his character wouldn't look weak. That's how secure he is.' He was referring to their work on Aadhi (2006).
• In Sukran (2005), Nassar played a blind villain — and the scene where Vijay tricks him by mimicking footsteps with his hands is still used as a reference in Tamil comedy skits and memes.
