Baashha is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language gangster action film written and directed by Suresh Krissna. The film stars Rajinikanth in a dual role as Manikam and Manik Baashha, alongside Nagma, Raghuvaran, Janagaraj, Devan, Shashi Kumar, and Vijayakumar. The story follows an auto rickshaw driver in Madras who conceals his violent past as a Bombay don from his family. When a local gangster threatens his sister, he is forced to reveal his true identity. The film was a major commercial success, running for nearly 15 months in theatres. Rajinikanth won the Cinema Express Award for Best Actor for his performance. The soundtrack, composed by Deva, became a chartbuster. The film was released on 12 January 1995, two days before the Pongal festival.

Storyline
