• Kader Khan personally recommended Raza Murad for the role of the villain in Kaalia (1981). Khan was already cast as the main antagonist but told director Tinnu Anand that Murad would bring a nastier edge to the second villain. Anand agreed on the spot.
• In Kaalia, Kader Khan played the cunning, talkative schemer while Raza Murad played the silent, brute-force enforcer. Khan later said in an interview that Murad’s stillness made his own dialogue-heavy performance land harder — the audience never knew which one would strike next.
• On the sets of Akalmand (1984), Kader Khan would rewrite his own lines in the morning and then walk Raza Murad through the new beats before each take. Murad later recalled that Khan never once asked for credit — he just wanted the scene to work.
• "Kader sahab didn't just act with you — he directed you from across the frame. I learned more about timing in those four films than in twenty years of solo work." — Raza Murad, in a 2017 interview with The Indian Express.
• The success of their double-act in Kaalia directly inspired the villain-pairing formula in several 80s action films. Years later, director Anurag Kashyap cited their Kaalia dynamic as a template for the two-antagonist structure in Gangs of Wasseypur.
• After Hum Hain Kamaal Ke (1993) flopped, Kader Khan and Raza Murad never worked together again. But Murad still visited Khan at his home in Toronto whenever he was in Canada. Their last meeting was in 2018, six months before Khan passed away.
