• J.D. Chakravarthy personally recommended M.S. Narayana for a role in 'Premaku Velayara' (1999) after seeing his stage work. That film became Narayana's first major Telugu comedy break.
• In 'Kodanda Ramudu' (2000), Chakravarthy played the straight man to Narayana's chaotic energy. Narayana would improvise entire dialogues on set, and Chakravarthy would react in real time — no retakes, no script.
• During the shoot of 'Anandamanandamaye' (2004), the two shared a room in a small guest house near the sets. Narayana would wake up at 4 AM to rehearse lines aloud, and Chakravarthy would join him with tea — they did this every single day of the schedule.
