• Raghu Babu and Gundu Hanumantha Rao first shared screen space in Gemini (2002) because director Sarath Mandava needed two distinct comic foils for Venkatesh's character — one loud and physical (Raghu), one sly and whiny (Gundu). They never auditioned together; the director just threw them into a scene and let them figure out the rhythm on the spot.
• In Golmaal (2003), Raghu Babu played the hyper-aggressive sidekick while Gundu Hanumantha Rao played the cowardly schemer. Their trick: Raghu would shout his lines at full volume, and Gundu would whisper his replies — the volume contrast made every exchange land like a punchline, even when the writing was average.
• Their double-act in Apparao Driving School (2004) was so popular that the director, Muppalaneni Shiva, wrote a separate subplot for them in his next film — but the project never got made. That unused script is the only direct sequel ever planned specifically around this duo.
