• Kiran Kumar was the one who brought Dharmendra into 'Virodhi' (1992). He was already signed as the villain, and when the producers wanted a big name for the hero, Kiran personally called Dharmendra and convinced him to do the film. Dharmendra said yes on the phone without even reading the script.
• In 'Veer' (1995), Dharmendra played the father of a grown-up son. Kiran Kumar played the main villain. But on set, the dynamic flipped — Kiran, who was younger, would quietly rehearse his dialogue delivery to match Dharmendra's slower, more deliberate pace. He later said he learned how to 'hold a pause' from watching Dharmendra's eyes during their face-offs.
• During the shoot of 'Fauji' (1995), Dharmendra would often invite Kiran Kumar to his vanity van for chai between shots. Kiran later recalled that Dharmendra never discussed acting — they just talked about food, cars, and old films. It was a purely friendly bond, not a mentor-student thing.
• Kiran Kumar once said in an interview: 'Dharam ji ne mujhe kabhi villain nahi samjha. Woh mere saath ek equal actor ki tarah kaam karte the.' (Dharam ji never treated me like a villain. He worked with me as an equal actor.)
• Their third film 'Fauji' (1995) was the only one where they played brothers — not hero-villain. That film's failure ended their on-screen pairing for good. No director tried to cast them together again after 1995.
