• For Phir Wohi Raat (1980), Danny and Suresh were cast as brothers-in-law. The director, Rajat Rakshit, specifically wanted two actors who could project quiet menace without shouting. He paired them because both had a stillness on screen that most mainstream heroes lacked.
• In Aitbaar (1985), Danny played a possessive husband and Suresh played the suspicious friend. The tension in their scenes came from a simple trick: Danny would deliver his lines in a low, almost inaudible whisper, forcing Suresh to lean in physically.
