• They first met on the set of Ajnabee (2001), but Kareena almost didn't sign the film. She was hesitant about the script until Akshay personally called her to explain his vision for their pairing. She agreed after that one call.
• In Aitraaz (2004), Akshay pushed Kareena to play the victimized wife with more restraint than she wanted. She initially played it loud; he told her to let the silence do the work. That performance got her a Filmfare nomination.
• Their film Good Newwz (2019) was the first mainstream Hindi movie to openly discuss IVF and sperm donation without making it a joke. The film's success directly led to two more Bollywood projects on fertility treatments in 2020-21.

• In Gabbar is Back (2015), Akshay deliberately slowed down his usual rapid-fire dialogue delivery to match Kareena's more measured rhythm.
