
Nootrukku Nooru(1971)
Nootrukku Nooru is a 1971 Indian Tamil-language psychological thriller film directed and written by K. Balachander. It stars Jaishankar as Professor Prakash and Lakshmi as his fiancée. The story follows a college professor accused of sexual harassment by three women just before his wedding. The film features supporting performances by Srividya, Vijaya Lalitha, Jayakumari, and a guest appearance by Gemini Ganesan as the college principal. The music was composed by V. Kumar with lyrics by Vaali. Jaishankar won the Film Fans' Association Best Actor Award for his role. Balachander also won awards for Best Director and Best Story from the Chennai Film Fans' Association. The film was released on 19 March 1971 and was later remade in Hindi as Imtihan in 1974.

Storyline
