Trivia

  • The film was shot in just 30 days, a common practice for director Rama Narayanan who was known for his quick productions.
  • It was one of the few comedies from that era to directly feature Lord Ganesha as a central plot device, blending mythology with a modern story.
  • The movie's climax was reportedly filmed at a real, large temple in Chennai to accommodate the story's grand scale.
  • Actor Senthil, a comedy star, played a key role, continuing his frequent partnership with director Rama Narayanan in the 1990s.
  • The title 'Vaanga Partner Vaanga' translates to 'Come, Partner, Come,' directly inviting the deity into a business deal.
  • Despite its comic premise, the film carried a moral message about keeping promises, especially those made to the divine.
  • The soundtrack by composer Shankar–Ganesh was typical for the director's films, featuring peppy folk-inspired numbers.
