Chanti(1992)
Chanti is a 1992 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty. The film stars Venkatesh and Meena in lead roles, with Nassar, Sujatha, and Brahmanandam in supporting roles. The story follows Chanti, a naive village singer, who becomes the bodyguard of Nandini, a young woman confined by her overprotective brothers. Their relationship deepens into love, leading to a secret marriage that challenges the family's authority. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Chinna Thambi. It was a major commercial success, running for over 100 days in many theaters and winning four Nandi Awards. The music, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, remains popular. The film is available on streaming platforms.

Storyline
Chanti is a simple, innocent singer who never went to school. He is hired as a bodyguard for Nandini, a young woman locked away by her three controlling brothers. Nandini longs for freedom. She tricks Chanti into helping her see the outside world. They fall in love. But her brothers will do anything to keep them apart.
