Partnership facts

• Their first film together, Chanti (1992), almost didn't happen. Brahmanandam was initially hesitant to take the role because he thought his comedy track was too short. Nassar personally convinced him to stay, telling him even a small role could leave a mark.
• In Dookudu (2011), Nassar played the straight-laced, furious father while Brahmanandam played the chaotic sidekick. The comedy came from Nassar's deadpan reactions to Brahmanandam's rapid-fire improvisations — Nassar would deliberately pause an extra beat to let Brahmanandam's punchlines land harder.
• Their pairing in Adhurs (2010) directly inspired the trend of casting a veteran dramatic actor (Nassar) opposite a comedian (Brahmanandam) in double-role films. At least three Telugu films in the next two years copied this template.
• On the sets of Soggade Chinni Nayana (2016), Brahmanandam would often forget his lines during long monologues. Nassar would quietly feed him the next line from off-camera, never letting the director know. Brahmanandam later called him 'my teleprompter on set.'
• Brahmanandam once said in an interview: 'Nassar is the only actor who can make me laugh even when I'm not in the scene. I'd watch his takes from the monitor and ruin my own shot because I was giggling.'
